NAMIBIAN INSTITUTE OF WELDING
Welding in Namibia is managed by the Namibian Institute of Welding. A vocational training service provider authorized by the Namibian training authority to offer coded welding courses across basic, structural and pipe welding competencies.
NIW considers itself a leader in the Coded Welding Industry in Namibia. The institute is a 100% Namibian owned, pioneering in modelling, simulation and training for Coded Welders. NIW continues to offer Coded Welder Training and related services to the companies and/or employees in the mining, manufacturing, transport and logistics industry as well as individual students in Namibia since 2012.
The Namibian Institute of Welding is situated at Walvis Bay where Namport (Namibia’s biggest harbor). Namibian Institute of Welding has evolved through the years into a competitive skill development institute in different welding processes and materials mostly through a blended work-integrated-learning methodology.
NIW focuses critically on delivery of industry sensitive trainings via a consistent rapport with the industry to remain abreast with latest technologies and changes within the art of welding. NIW aims to be a frontline institute representing and promoting the development of competitive skills in Namibia and ensuring that skills developed are in sync with continental and international industry demands.
The Namibian Institute of Welding is currently establishing alliances to deepen the depth of courses and offer recognizable certificates across industries in the African continent.
