THE SOUTHERN AFRICAN STEEL SUMMIT 2023

TWF will be joining discussions with leading experts in the industry at the South African Steel Summit 2023. This event is a fact-driven one-day event followed by cocktails and networking, exploring key inputs and topics influencing the markets of the South African steel sector, demand and supply, cost implications, and innovation.

TWF Regional Workshop 6.0 - West Africa in Monrovia, Liberia

TWF mid-year regional workshop is Africa’s flagship program for guiding awareness and building capacity in welding technology towards growing manufacturing across Africa.
At TWF workshops and symposiums, details on ongoing research are shared, proposals on research focus for the next generation, skilling models and methods to adequately address industry demands, policy directions to build national welding capacities, implementation structure to promote domestication of simple to complex manufacturing responsibilities, experiences from projects and approach to effective technical collaborations across member countries and shared.
Presentations will focus on sharing experiences and technical details on how countries in Africa can effectively and efficiently grow national content in welding towards maximizing other industries.

TWF 2ND ANNUAL ASSEMBLY AND CONFERENCE 2024 - LAGOS, NIGERIA

The 2nd Annual Assembly and International Conference of The Welding Federation on the theme “Materials Manufacturing Technologies-Managing Capacity Africa” will take place in Africa’s iconic city of Lagos Nigeria from the 5th – 8th of March, 2024.

TWF Annual Assembly and Conference is Africa’s table of solution for growing productivity in manufacturing that brings together scientists, engineers, industrialists and policy makers to interact, review and discuss adoption or adaptation of advancements in materials manufacturing technologies to improve application experiences.

TWF Assembly 2024 will further, the integration of Africa’s manufacturing industries with a critical focus on promoting increased commitment to welding capacity development, technical networking and collaborations, as well as encouraging the adoption of frameworks that increase investors’ confidence in Africa as a preferred hub for cost effective and quality materials manufacturing activities.

TWF 1ST ANNUAL ASSEMBLY AND CONFERENCE 2023-EGYPT

TWF 1st Annual Assembly and Conference on Welding and Allied Processes-Blue Print Africa will hold in Cairo, Egypt on March 14th – 17th, 2023. This event will link the worlds of academia, industry and government for an outstanding exchange of authoritative research, technical applications, and novel solutions to challenges of materials and materials joining both in Africa and the world at large. In addition, it will also be a showcase of Africa’s frontline champion companies in all stops in the materials manufacturing industries value chain of activities.

The event will focus on all aspects of welding and its associated processes including inspection and structural integrity with the objective of improving the safety and performance of engineering structures and their associated materials. Through presentations of scientific research, plenary and technical sessions, programmed as well as impromptu discussions and an exhibition of today’s latest product and service solutions.

Members of Africa’s community of scientists, engineers, students and corporate organizations will not only gain useful knowledge and experience to advance their work, but also establish profitable linkages across the continent.

The presence of this Annual Assembly and Conference in Africa offers an opportunity like no other in the quest to develop and sustain cost effective progress in Africa’s manufacturing industries. TWF Workshop 5.0

TWF Capacity Building workshops are fast becoming the continent’s flagship program for guiding awareness and building capacity in welding technology towards growing manufacturing across Africa. The workshops are digitized and hosted by countries across regions in Africa.
At TWF workshops and symposiums, details on ongoing research are shared, proposals on research focus for the next generation, skilling models and methods to adequately address industry demands, policy directions to build national welding capacities, implementation structure to promote domestication of simple to complex manufacturing responsibilities, experiences from projects and approach to effective technical collaborations across member countries and shared.

TWF CWC 2022

The Welding Federation is pleased to announce the maiden edition of TWF Continental Welding Competition with the theme -Expanding Elasticity of Welding Skills in Africa. TWF CWC is one of TWF’s flagship projects under her building and integrating manufacturing industries in Africa project.
This competition is open to participants from welding associations and or institutions within the defined age limit. The portal for registration is scheduled to open soon.
