The Africa, Africans Want.
Africa’s agenda 2063 and UN SDG 2030 agenda are both key instruments for TWF. They both capture the essence and underscores a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity of all people and the planet, now and into the future. Agenda 2063 however, reemphasizes needs critical and comments to Africa.
TWF activities are linked to building and sustaining the Africa, Africans want through an integrated model that complement actualization of both the African agenda 2063 and United Nations Social Development Goals.
AGENDA 2063 is Africa’s blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the future. It is the continent’s strategic framework that aims to deliver on its goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
The AGENDA captures the need to refocus and prioritize inclusive social and economic development, continental and regional integration, democratic governance and peace and security amongst other issues aimed at repositioning Africa to becoming a dominant player in the global arena. It envisions a long-term development trajectory for Africa which reengineers its approach to rallying support around its own common agenda; and emerging development and investment opportunities in areas such as agri-business, infrastructure development, health and education as well as value addition in African commodities.
While UN SDG 17 are vital, TWF intensifies efforts at addressing goals no 1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12 across Africa’s societies via sustained access to available and affordable industry solutions that addresses critical industry concerns both generic and specific in Africa.
